Hi | Hola | こんにちは | Welcome to EmilySaidHello.

This blog was founded in 2017, during my 3rd year of University and was, originally, for all things Books, Beauty and Movies related but it has been a few years since then and I have lost count of the amount of times I have rebranded this site. It has grown alongside me and changed names more times than I can count.

Will this be the one that sticks? Your guess is as good as mine.

Emily Elizabeth | EmilySaidHello will continue to be a place where I blog about things I love, which no matter my age will continue to be books and movies (above anything else) but alongside this, will be more ‘original’ content including snippets of my poems, stories and flash pieces. Rather than letting my work hide under (metaphorical) dust and self imposed shame, I’ve committed myself to sharing my work. We do not grow in isolation.

A lot of my previous posts including my posts from #LifeisDigi will slowly become available as I rework them to fit the new design format.

Moving on to what you’re really here for – a bit of background about myself:

At present, I am caseworker in the public sector. A graduate from University of Chester (LLB Hons) 2017 class. I am based in the North West (UK) having relocated from Birmingham in January 2020. In my spare time I nap, I snack and write as a freelance content writer.

An ex-MUA and skincare consultant and part-time reader; my interests lie in literature, of any kind, films of any genre and an obsession with all things beauty – particularly skincare.
